Erie Together's Website Re-Launch!
Erie Together is a countywide collective impact movement to make the Erie region a community of opportunity where everyone can learn, work and thrive. While we continue to advance several large- scale initiatives, we have also been working on operational aspects of the movement itself. To kick off a new decade of impact, Erie Together has launched a brand-new website, with major changes that will vastly improve our ability to connect with the Erie community and offer valuable resources. Read on to learn more about our new digital identity.
Three programmatic focus areas
Erie Together launched in 2009 to help more children become successful adults, more individuals secure and maintain employment, and more families become self-sufficient. Over the years, we have created important informational resources, and identified and implemented successful solutions to top community challenges in these three areas. This work continues to grow each year. With that in mind, we felt a pressing need to more effectively inform and engage the community in this work, and we have redesigned our website to help make that happen.
Website ease of use
We made radical changes to our website style and formatting, as well as our “digital personality.” For instance, the new website is much more user-friendly, and now has blog (News/Articles tab) and newsletter features. Through these tools, we will be able to more easily provide our community with timely project updates, engagement opportunities, announcements, important resources, and other pertinent information.
Other ways to connect
Our ability to connect with cross-system stakeholders and citizens has been key to Erie Together’s success over the last ten years. We recognize that as the world becomes more digitized, timely, effective communication is even more important moving forward. Our new website will help us be more efficient and direct in how we engage with citizens, schools, employers, and all regional stakeholders through our various contact pages and mailing lists, among other things.
Refined social platforms
Finally, with the launch of our new website, we intend to put our social media platforms to better use. If you haven’t already done so, please like @ErieTogether on Facebook and follow us on Twitter at @ErieTogether. We look forward to connecting with and hearing from you soon!
