Balancing Economic and Workforce Development

Residents are qualified for, and can find, suitable family-sustaining employment.
Outcome
Increase number of Erie Region residents who are qualified for, and can find, suitable family-sustaining employment, as measured by percentage of households with incomes above self-sufficiency standard. The team will focus on workforce development for at least the first 12 months.
Accomplishments
- Mapped existing workforce development system;
- Identified best practices from other communities; and
- Quantified gap between number of job-seekers and available jobs.
